MORGRIP® Achieves Three EPRS Remote Connector Installations in Europe

All three installations were completed in the first half of 2024 and were commissioned by a leading client, as part of our long-standing EPRS supply contract spanning over 28 years.

MORGRIP® 3000Ri diverless connectors were commissioned for the following installation projects:

  • 1 off 12 ” connector – spool tie-in for carbon capture and storage field
  • 1 off 12 ” connector – riser replacement
  • 2 off 20 ” connectors – for damage repair on gas pipeline

Connector Subsea Solutions’ (CSS) ongoing contract and scope includes a full EPRS service comprising of pipeline connector assessment, design of connectors in line with DNV TYPE approval, manufacture, FAT, storage, protection, personnel training and competence, and commissioning offshore.

CSS’ contract includes a commitment to meet maximum mobilisation lead times, including product assembly and configuration from stock inventory, testing and shipment. This critical path function fits in with the multiple other vendors and service providers to ensure efficient, on-time project execution.

By triggering the ERPS call-off process for these three time-sensitive projects, our client received prompt support and we were able to provide an expedited delivery and support a swift installation.

CSS EPRS services are extensive and offer engineering assessments of client pipelines to specify the most efficient use of clamps and connectors, through to installation procedures and training/competency of site personnel.

These successful projects highlight the importance of a robust and reliable EPRS agreement to protect pipeline assets.

“Over the last few years, we have seen increased activity for EPRS services, and these recent installations are testament to this approach and our close working relationships with clients worldwide for nearly 30 years” says Nitin Patel, Managing Director of MORGRIP® Systems CSS UK.
