Remote Subsea Pipeline Tie-in Systems
Remote subsea pipeline tie-in systems mitigate the need for pipeline flange terminations which is particularly valuable in harsh or deepwater environments. Although flanges provide a proven method of connecting two pipes, the time, risk and tooling required to achieve this, in certain environments, is not viable.
The remote subsea pipeline tie-in system is made up of a male and female interface. The male interface is on the repair spool and can be easily aligned, inserted and interfaced with a female hub that terminates the mechanical connector.
