Our pipeline lifting and retrieval tool is a mechanically operated jaw designed to bite onto flexibles, umbilical’s and rigid pipelines or risers to enable retrieval of the scrap pipe to the surface.

Designed primarily as a support product for subsea and deepwater pipeline repair where the damaged section of pipe is cut out and replaced with a new spool, interfaced using mechanical connectors or welding.

The reinforced jaws have interchangeable inserts to enable the tool to be modified for a wide range of pipe materials and coatings. Having the ability to adapt the interface provides control and assurance to the subsea operation.

The lifting points are adjacent to the centre of the jaws and are hinged. This feature ensures a controlled pipeline lifting by mitigating the bending moment in the load.

Designed for easy mobilisation and operation, the tool has a standard ROV class 4 interface and a working load limit of 115t. This solution provides a quick, safe and robust method of retrieving pipe that has been cut out during a pipeline repair or tie-in.
