Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) were commissioned to supply a 3″ repair connector designed to suit a high-pressure cement line for an FSU in the Middle East region.
The project required reinstatement of the line to its original 689 barg design pressure.
The MORGRIP® connector was selected to provide a permanent connection of the bare end pipe to a new spool and tee.
CSS workshop technicians in our Walsall, UK facility successfully conducted FAT and pressure testing to a remarkable 1,039 barg/14,900 psi before delivering to the client.
We have a range of mechanical connectors and clamps in all sizes and pressure ratings, for topside and subsea, diver-installed and fully remotely installed. For more information on this project, please contact Rani Mahey, Nigel Baxter or John Spain.
