Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) recently delivered 2 off 6 ” MORSMART connectors. The client ordered this connector following the exceptional performance of a previously installed MORSMART connector, supplied to the client by CSS.
The previous connector was utilised as a part of their Emergency Pipeline Repair Systems (EPRS) contingency arrangement with CSS, which successfully addressed a mid-line pipeline repair with minimised disruption, thanks to the swift deployment of the connector as a benefit of EPRS.
Low Complexity, High Performance for Diver Installation
Engineered for diver installation with minimal complexity, the lightweight designs and intuitive installation processes of MORSMART products
ensure quick and efficient deployment, even in challenging underwater environments.
Exceeding Expectations with Technical Excellence
CSS ensured the MORSMART connectors met the highest industry standards. The 6 ” connectors were tested with a 2 500 # WN Flange and hydrostatic pressure tested to 639 barg with a 1-hour hold time—demonstrating the suitability of the connector for high-pressure operations. Implementation of advanced nitrile seals designed for sour service applications further enhances the connector’s durability in corrosive environments.
Unique Strengths of the MORSMART Connector
The MORSMART connector offers several distinct advantages, making it the ideal choice for pipeline repairs:
- Lightweight design
- Ease of installation
- Cost-effectiveness
- Twin seal test facility
- Adaptability
