For a connector repair is it important that the pipeline end has the correct tolerance and cannot damage the connector during installation. It is therefore recommended to perform pipeline end preparation to:

  • Remove any burrs, offcut or potential debris that could interfere with the operation of the connector
  • Ensure a square cut finish with bevel ends to provide assurance during installation that no damage to the connector internals occurs
  • Additional checks on pipe ovality and wall thickness to ensure the pipe repair location is within design tolerances of the connector

The Pipeline End Preparation Tool is used for this purpose. We can design bespoke units to have multi-diameter configurations to suit multiple pipeline coatings.
