Connector Subsea Solutions has successfully tested 2 off MORGRIP® 16” 3000 Series Flange Adaptors – each terminated in ISO 27509 Class 900 Compact Flange.
The two MORGRIP® connectors underwent FAT and Pressure Testing in our workshop facility based in Walsall, UK.
Zero pressure loss at 155bar was achieved over an 8-hour hold period during hydrotesting of both connectors.
Preparing the connectors for an 8-hour pressure test and performing the test in one working day presented logistical challenges. However, CSS technicians showed great flexibility working extra hours, including weekends, to ensure build and testing went smoothly and on schedule.
The connectors are due to be deployed in the Danish Sector of the North Sea later this summer, with assistance from CSS technicians as part of a field redevelopment programme.
