01// Kristen Andrew Foshaug to Present Diverless Tieback Technology at Subsea Pipelines & Cables 2026
Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) will join the subsea community atSubsea Pipelines & Cables 2026, taking place from 13 to 14 October at the Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel in Trondheim. Organised by Norsk Petroleumsforening / Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF), the conference brings recent project experience and new technology into a two-day technical programme.
At 12:20 on Wednesday 14 October, Kristen Andrew Foshaug, Chief Technology Officer at CSS, will present ‘Enabling tieback into existing infrastructure without divers.’ The session will show how diverless mechanical connector technology can help operators connect new subsea developments to existing pipeline systems.
The Trinidad Diverless Tieback

02// SSIV Skid mounted with diverless connectors, awaiting installation
Kristen’s presentation will follow the key stages of integrating a new Subsea Isolation Valve (SSIV) into an existing pipeline. Using a real project from Trinidad as the central example, he will explain how the pipeline was measured, cut and prepared before the SSIV was positioned and connected using remotely operated MORGRIP® mechanical connectors.

03// MORGRIP® 3000R Diverless Connector activated on subsea pipeline
The Trinidad project connected the Barracuda development to existing Dolphin Deep infrastructure through an SSIV skid. Working with TechnipFMC, CSS supplied 2 off 12″ MORGRIP® 3000R Connectors together with the pipe-handling, coating removal, preparation and control equipment needed for remote installation. The subsea operation was completed without divers from a standard construction support vessel, with the tieback sequence taking approximately 24 operating hours, excluding equipment deployment and recovery.

MORGRIP® Diverless Connectors for remote intervention

04// MORGRIP® 3000Ri Diverless Connector during refurbishment
Designed for ROV-operated pipeline repair and tie-in work, MORGRIP® Diverless Connectors are available in several configurations to suit project-specific requirements. The range includes the 3000R/RI Series for demanding diverless interventions, diverless MORSMART and Collet options for more compact applications, and MORGRIP® Hybrid Connectors for projects where reducing rather than eliminating dive time is the preferred approach.
