Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) has completed design and validation testing of our first XT / Tubing Hanger Penetrator.
The Tubing Hanger Penetrator allows for hydraulic and chemical communication through the Christmas Tree and Tubing Hanger and to the well. This compact product contains 4 off 10k hydraulic / chemical lines in an API 6A BX 5 1/8″ flange.
Utilizing CSS’ HCC Metal-to-Metal Couplers (PSL 3G, Temperature Class U), this product can be used in demanding applications with high pressure, extreme temperatures and harsh chemical environments.
This highly specialized unit has the smallest envelope of an enclosed 4-line stab in the market, is robust and has an easily operable drive mechanism. The secondary release mechanism is thoroughly tested and qualified.
The design and validation testing has been reviewed and witnessed by DNV and achieved their product certificate towards API 17D, PR2 and PSL 3G (Temperature Class U, Material Class HH).
This XT / Tubing Hanger Penetrator is to be installed subsea shortly and there will hopefully be many to follow.
