Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) was commissioned to expedite supply of a subsea clamp for installation on a major export pipeline experiencing areas of reduced wall thickness.
MORGRIP® permanent leak-sealing clamp was selected due to its field-proven suitability for high-pressure operation.
The clamp features twin radial and longitudinal elastomeric seals allowing external cavity seal verification.
Built in our Wednesbury, UK workshop, the clamp successfully completed FAT and pressure testing to 480 barg with an 8 hour hold period.
The clamp is scheduled for installation in Q3 this year with support from CSS field technicians, and the client has requested more clamps for contingency.
