Designing bespoke pipeline intervention & repair solutions with installation methodologies tailored to specific project parameters, including vessel type, equipment, and seabed conditions.
COLLABORATIVE CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
We collaborate closely with operators, consultants, and EPC contractors to develop bespoke concepts that maintain asset integrity and ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient execution of critical subsea pipeline interventions and repairs.
ENGINEERED METHODOLOGIES FOR DE‑RISKED PROJECT EXECUTION
Our engineering approach begins with a high‑level evaluation of key project parameters — from the condition and configuration of the asset to stakeholder capabilities and logistical constraints. By assessing vessel type, seabed conditions, access limitations, and operational risks, we refine each repair methodology to deliver a de‑risked, cost‑effective, and durable solution that restores long‑term integrity.
DESIGNING WITH FUTURE OPERATIONS IN MIND
Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) also designs with the future in mind. Where appropriate, we integrate features that support later operations such as decommissioning, tieback, or modification work, helping to minimise future intervention time and offshore exposure.
PIPELINE REPAIR
Our subsea pipeline repair solutions address a wide range of field conditions — including variable slopes, seabed type and topography, water depth, diver usage and access, and spatial constraints around nearby assets. Repairs can be adapted for both diverless or diver-assisted installation methods, depending on project requirements, utilising proven technologies.
RISER REPAIR
Riser systems pose unique challenges due to their vertical orientation and structural loading. CSS engineers design and qualify deployment methods that manage loads that are transferred to the original structure during installation, create adequate access on hybrid riser structures, and ensure new riser sections can be fully supported by the modified structure.
Using our industry-leading MORGRIP® subsea pipeline connectors, clamps and installation equipment, we developed and executed the world’s first remote vertical deepwater hybrid riser repair, demonstrating our capability to deliver innovative and technically complex subsea repairs in deepwater environments.
FLANGES AND HUB CONNECTION REPAIR
For compromised flanges or hub connections, CSS provides tailored repair systems to restore pressure containment and or add structural reinforcement to any size and shape flange or hub connection as an alternative to replacing entire pipeline sections. Installation methodologies are adapted to suit project‑specific parameters such as water depth, access, and flange geometry.
DIVERLESS OPERATIONS ON BOLTED FLANGES
Using our in-house diverless tensioning expertise and specialised tooling packages, CSS is uniquely positioned offer solutions that break out and remake bolted flange connections without the use of divers and without leaving specialist nuts and bolts on the flange. Our recoverable tooling packages support fast and efficient diverless operations while maintaining the integrity of the flanged connection.
VALVE REPLACEMENT AND NEW SUBSEA EQUIPMENT INTEGRATION
Using MORGRIP® connectors alongside bespoke tooling, Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) enables in-situ valve replacement on subsea equipment, eliminating the need to recover assets to the surface.
Our systems support the integration or replacement of valves or other equipment such as subsea compression modules on pipelines and tubing of any size.
As part of complete package, CSS also manufactures and supplies ultra-compact small‑bore ball valves (½ to 2″), ideal for high-pressure control systems.
SMALL-BORE PIPELINE AND TUBING REPAIR
While MORGRIP® connectors and clamps are widely recognised for large-diameter pipeline repairs, we have adapted this proven technology for small-bore and high-pressure tubing applications. These proven systems deliver safe and permanent repairs, even within confined subsea structures, and can be installed with or without the use of divers.
Whether addressing a small‑bore tubing leak, damaged riser, or major pipeline failure, Connector Subsea Solutions combines decades of field experience, innovative tooling, and proven connector technology to deliver fully engineered repair concepts that restore integrity and extend asset life.
